SUPERCROSS
MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD
FINAL ROUND/ MAY 2, 2015
SAM BOYD STADIUM / LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
P92
to the 450 class next year, was
happy to say good-bye to his
250 Supercross career with a
victory.
"It was a dream for me to win
Vegas and the Shootout," Mus-
quin said. "I've never won here.
I came close two years ago and
last year I didn't race, but today
was like a dream day, running
the number-one, wearing my
really cool gear from Fox, cool
goggles, special stuff like that
for Vegas, it's just a dream day,
perfect. I'm super proud.
"Obviously Cooper Webb
wasn't here and everyone was
waiting for the battle, but that's
racing. He hurt himself, but we
have the outdoors coming up."
As for the race itself, Musquin
said, "I didn't get a great jump
off the gate, but I made it work. I
pushed so hard, got a good shift
and pushed through the turn and
got the holeshot. I went on the
inside, played it safe and closed
the door so no one could pass
me on the inside. After that I just
tried to be safe and go fast. The
whoops were really hard and
slippery. I could see Malcolm
behind me but I was faster."
Stewart rode well all day and
night but admitted afterward
that he ran out of steam in the
main event. "I felt great in the
heat race," Stewart said, "but I
ain't going to lie, I got tired in the
Shootout. Marvin did everything
he could to keep me behind
him; I'm just happy that I got on
the box again."
MUSQUIN SANDWICH
GEICO Honda Team riders

a sandwich out of Musquin by
