COY CAPTURES VIRGINIA CITY GRAND PRIX WIN H undreds of motorcycles filled the streets of the normally sleepy town of Virginia City, Nevada for the 44th Annual Outlaws MC Virginia City Grand Prix. A $5000 pro purse drew out a size- able crowd to the classic event, where conditions were near perfect—albeit a little chilly—thanks to cooperation from Mother Nature. Travis Coy rode his Motorcycle Superstore- backed RPM/KTM to the overall win in the three- hour race that ran through the streets of the historic town. Coy took home the bulk of the Pro purse, followed by Justin Bonita and Steven God- man, who rounded out the Pro podium in second and third, respectively. "The race was perfect," Coy said. "We had a little snow and a little rain the night before, which made for epic conditions. I got out front just a few miles in and was able to stay there most of the race. I pitted on lap five and actually got passed, but was able to get the lead right back and pull a gap to the finish. I'm pumped to win it my first year attending. It's a race I've always wanted to try."
