VOL. 52 ISSUE 17 APRIL 28, 2015 P37 finished off the podium. Ashburn rounded out the top-five ahead of Ryan Sipes, Chris Bach and Andrew DeLong. In the XC2 division, Ryder Lafferty came away with the holeshot and led the way into the woods followed by Ricky Russell and Craig DeLong. On the open- ing lap, Trevor Bollinger worked his way into the lead followed by Jason Thomas, and by the fourth lap, it was Thomas in the lead, leaving the rest to contend for second. Behind him, Nick Davis, Bollinger and DeLong engaged in a tight battle until Davis fell back with mechanical issues. In the end, DeLong finished second ahead of Russell, who rounded out the XC2 podium. Thomas' win allowed him to fatten up his XC2 points lead ahead of DeLong and Layne Michael in the championship. Grant Baylor (shown) had a valiant race-long battle with Russell for the lead, but ultimately had to settle for second. After holding the early lead, Thad DuVall went on to finish third in Springville, Indiana.
