IN THE WIND P26 CONFIRMED: POURCEL TO ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA L ast week Frenchman Christophe Pour- cel was spotted at Glen Helen getting comfortable on his Rockstar Energy Husqvarna FC 450, although the team had yet to announce he was officially on board. The announcement has since surfaced, naming Pourcel as the fifth member of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team. The former FIM Motocross World Champion and 250 Su- percross Champion is taking the step up to the premier class and will be racing the Husky FC 450 in the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. "We tested the bike last week and I had a good thing going with Bobby Hewitt and Robert Jonas," Pourcel said. "They made me feel very comfortable with the team. They believe in me and that was a big part of my decision to join the team." OREGON RIDERS GET FILTERING! C ommon sense has prevailed in Oregon, with the Oregon Senate passing a bill that will al- low motorcyclists to filter between cars. The bill was passed with 18 votes in favor and allows motorcyclists to filter to the front of the line in a "cautious and prudent manner," according to Roseburg Republican Senator Jeff Kruse, when speaking with The Columbian newspaper. Riders can travel no faster than 20 mph past cars, providing the tin-tops are doing no more than 10 mph. Lane splitting is common across the world and is widely practiced in California. Syd- ney, Australia is one of the latest cities to legalize the practice. Those opposed to the bill say it puts more inherent risk on the motorcyclist, however riders groups have long been in favor of the bill in an effort to reduce the number of rear-end accidents involving motorcycles and cars.
