rounded out the top-five ahead
of Ryan Sipes, Chris Bach and
Andrew DeLong.
In the XC2 division, Ryder
Lafferty came away with the
holeshot and led the way into the
woods followed by Ricky Russell
and Craig DeLong. On the open-
ing lap, Trevor Bollinger worked
his way into the lead followed by
Jason Thomas, and by the fourth
lap, it was Thomas in the lead,
leaving the rest to contend for
second. Behind him, Nick Davis,
Bollinger and DeLong engaged
in a tight battle until Davis fell
back with mechanical issues.
In the end, DeLong finished
second ahead of Russell, who
rounded out the XC2 podium.
Thomas' win allowed him to
fatten up his XC2 points lead
ahead of DeLong and Layne
Michael in the championship.
Grant Baylor
(shown) had a
valiant race-long
battle with Russell
for the lead, but
ultimately had to
settle for second.
After holding the early lead,
Thad DuVall went on to
finish third in Springville,
Indiana.
