The Suzuki's surprising strength, af- ter downbeat testing last year, has taken everyone by surprise. But there is still a long way to go, re- vealed Aleix Espargaro, who could hardly believe that he was on the front row at the GSX-RR's third race. The shortage of top-end horsepower is well known; but the compensation is the best handling in the class, a par- ticular asset at a flowing circuit like Termas. But there was another vex- ing and rather mysterious problem: serious chatter, but only on right- hand turns. Both he and teammate Maverick Vinales were suffering, said Espargaro, and the team tech men were scratching their heads.
