Rounding out the podium
was 2012 National Champ
Steward Baylor who had an
up and down day.
"It was a rough start and
a really rough ending," said
Steward Baylor. "I was just
struggling putting it together
in the first two tests but then
things started rolling in tests
three and four, which Baylor
won. I came into test five,
which was my favorite test
back in 2012. I was catch-
ing [Cory] Buttrick and I was
feeling great, but then I hit
a stump in a ditch in fourth
gear and it scared me. I
broke my neck brace and
when I got up I couldn't find
my bike, it was about 50 feet
down a ditch."
Grant Baylor, Steward's
brother, put his N-Fab/
Am Pro Yamaha into fourth
overall, while Daniel Milner,
Grant's Aussie teammate,
was fifth.
Sixth and seventh went to
Beta USA teammates But-
trick and Jesse Groemm,
respectively. Buttrick ran as
high as fourth, but a bit of a
struggle in the final test cost
the Ohioan to drop to sixth.
Meanwhile, Groemm was
making his return to racing
after suffering a concussion
before the season started.
Eighth was Steward
Baylor's Moto-Tech KTM
teammate Trevor Bolinger,
with Husqvarna's Craig De-
Long and AirGroup Racing
Husqvarna's Ryder Lafferty
rounding out the top 10.
