MOTOCROSS FMF AMA CALIFORNIA CLASSIC CHAMPIONSHIP APRIL 8-12, 2015 GLEN HELEN RACEWAY/SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA P134 (Above) KTM's Michael Merriam topped the 450 Pro Sport class but had a little help along the way. Georgia's Lorenzo Locurcio won the second and third motos but crashed in the first moto, ending up seventh. Merriam struggled to make up for a sixth-place start in the second moto, but he sealed the deal with a second- place finish in the third moto, going 1-5-2 which was just enough to beat out Lorenzo's 7-1-1. (Top right) Former World Champion Sebastien Tortelli came out and played and came away with the 30+ A Championship. He won all three motos but Rusty Holland kept him honest in all three motos, finishing right behind the Frenchman each time out. Paul Perebijnos was third overall. (Right) Max Vohland came away with three titles. Vohland, the son of former MXGP racer Tallon Vohland, fought off Hunter Yoder in the 65cc (6-11) Modified and Limited classes, and Matthew LeBlanc in the 65cc Open (7-11) class. He also got second in the 85cc (9-11) Modified class.
