MOTOGP MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 3/APRIL 19, 2015 TERMAS DE RIO HONDO CIRCUIT/ TERMAS DE RIO HONDO, ARGENTINA P82 the way down the points and beyond. Monster Yamaha Tech 3's Bradley Smith had another good run to a solid sixth; Espargaro managed to hang on to seventh on the Suzuki, clear of a desulto- ry threat from Smith's teammate Pol Espargaro in a bad weekend for the younger brother. Estrella-VDS Honda's Scott Redding was ninth after a difficult race: he'd been sprayed with oil in the early stages when he was behind Pramac Ducati's Yonny Hernandez, when the Colum- bian's Ducati suddenly expired in sheets of flame on lap seven. Second Suzuki rider Maver- ick Vinales closed right up on Redding at the finish, after get- ting clear of the next big battle, which by the end had 12th to 19th covered by just over 2.2 seconds. Petrucci was ahead of them in 11th, after clashing with Pedrosa replacement Hiro Aoyama on the Repsol Honda in the last corner, and knocking him off—earning a penalty point in the process. Ever-stronger jumped-up rookie Jack Miller on the CWM Cal Crutchlow (35) lost position to the factory Ducatis—Andrea Dovizioso (04) and Andrea Iannone (29)— but was able to edge out Iannone in the final moments to take his first podium of the season.
