Intriguingly, indeed vitally, they
were on different tires, on a fast
Termas de Rio Hondo circuit that
punishes the rubber.
Rossi's "Extra Hard" Bridge-
stone (special for this race)
should pay dividends over the
closing laps.
With track temperatures cool-
er than the day before, Marquez
had taken a last-minute gamble.
On the grid, he had switched
Aleix Espargaro
(41) grabbed the
holeshot, but it
didn't take long for
Marc Marquez (93)
to take the lead.
