L
ong-time motocross and Supercross racer Ryan
Sipes competed in his first ever AMA National
Enduro when he took on the Rad Dad National in
Westpoint, Tennessee, April 19. Sipes turned his
attention to off-road racing a few years ago when
he started following the GNCC series full time. He
finished a respectable 12

.
The Rockstar Energy rider recently announced
a new partnership with AirGroup Radiant Logis-
tics as the title sponsor for his team, and the deal
included a few national enduros, as well as the
GNCC series and two national motocross rounds,
which will include the Red Bud round in Michigan.
"It was tough, I don't know how people go
through trees that fast," Sipes said of his first
enduro. "It's like me taking one of these guys and
putting them on a motocross track and saying 'go
race.' It's just different. I hit so many trees the first
two tests, finally I had to slow down and just stay
on my motorcycle. I had a lot more fun then."

BOWERS
PULLS OUT
M
onster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki Team
rider Tyler Bowers says he's calling it quits
on the 2015 Supercross and motocross season.
Bowers revealed that he has been dealing with an
on-going issue with his back and will seek treat-
ment that will keep him off the bike for quite some
time.
"I have been dealing with two compressed
discs as well as displacement of the L5 verte-
brae resulting in sharp pain and numbness down
my leg while sitting, driving, bending over, twist-
ing or when I lower my chin," he said in an open
letter to his fans. "The pain has now become
constant and I have been unable to find any relief
through medication, therapy, exercise, etc."
Bowers was planning on racing through Las
Vegas, the final round of the Monster Energy
AMA Supercross Series, but decided to move up
plans he had for surgery.
"Mitch [Payton, team owner], Dr. Navarro
[Bowers' physician] and I decided that I should
move my surgery up and allow me to be able to
recover from my back issue sooner, allowing me
to focus on a strong future rather than continuing
to struggle through this current season."
The team has not announced if they plan on
replacing Bowers.
Tyler Bowers will sit out the rest of the year
to mend an on-going back injury.
