CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "What's this new sport and where can I see more of it?" Nicky Hayden's 200 th GP The man, the myth. Congratu- lations "Nickelodeon" on a heckuva GP career to date and wishing you all the best in the future. Bob Close Via the Internet Nicky Hayden riding his 200th GP, wow, seems like only yes- terday I saw him riding at the Talladega Grand Prix Raceway (not the NASCAR track) when he was 14 years old on a small Honda road racer, and I said to myself this kid has got talent and will be a star someday soon. Steve Eubanks Via the Internet Way to hang in there Nicky—200 GP starts. My only regret is that you never did the grand slam here in the U.S. But, have loved following your career. Andrus Chesley Via the Internet Dirt Track Going X Games This might be the best news that I've ever heard for the promotion of flat track racing. Imagine all the young people who will be seeing it for the first time and thinking, "What's this new sport and where can I see more of it?" Good for H-D for the ice rac- ing demo races they ran at the Winter X Games that likely got this ball rolling. Lance Holst Via the Internet EBR — DNF I have followed Erik Buell from his innovative day making sus- pension for Schwinn bicycles to his partnership with Harley. It seemed he had it about right when he put a real sportbike motor in his chassis (Rotax), but it seemed he got conflicted going from high-end USA-made enthusiast to the Blast, an entry level bike badly needed but a poor fit for Buell. I like the last EBR idea, even if the bikes seemed like they were priced high. So many cool innovations and ideas in many of the mod- els. Maybe Erik can help a USA brand like Motus, Indian (under Polaris) or even Zero. Erik is such a solid enthusiast and engineer. I hope an investment group swoops in to save EBR, or Erik finds another venture in the industry. Andrew Siminoff Via the Internet Keep 'Em Coming So often a reader writes to voice displeasure; however, the readers of Cycle News often find reason to do the opposite, and why not, as we are given (freely) amble good reasons to do so week after week. The recent series of inter- views by Alan Cathcart with BMW Motorrad CEO Stephen Schaller is another great example of a job well done. This is the kind of content that makes Cycle News more than a collection of the past week's news, but a leader in exclusive and in-depth content from the motorcycle industry. Keep up the good work.
