NELSON TO SIT OUT
REST OF SUPERCROSS
T
roy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Red Bull/KTM rider Jessy
Nelson will sit out the remaining 2015 Supercross West
Region rounds with an injury.
Nelson crashed while testing at Glen
Helen Raceway for the outdoor Nation-
als and, although he didn't sustain any
broken bones, he decided it would be in
the best interests of the team to take the
rest of the season off so he can heal up 100 percent for the outdoor season.
"It's definitely tough to make that call, especially when you are sitting second in points," Jessy said of
his decision prior to the April 11 Houston Supercross. "I have good people around me and we all think
the smart move is to take the time I need and line back up when I'm completely ready. I'm already looking
forward to Hangtown."
CALISTOGA HALF-MILE DATE CHANGE
R
ound 15 of the 2015 AMA Pro Flat Track sched-
ule, the Calistoga Half-Mile, has been moved
back one week to September 26.
The change of date has been implemented due
to conflicting events happening in the area on
the original date, with promoters keen to see the
maximum number
of spectators track-
side for the half
mile. The event will
still be the penulti-
mate round of the
2015 season with
championships
most likely still up
for grabs.
"We're happy to
be returning to Cal-
istoga Speedway
and the beautiful
Napa County Fair-
grounds," said Mi-
chael Gentry, Chief
Operating Officer of AMA Pro Racing. "The date
change should ensure the best possible turnout for
the race, and we're ready to put on a great show."
Round three of the 2015 AMA Pro Flat Track
season continues at the Springfield Mile on May
24.
Jessy Nelson
will sit out the
rest of the 250
West Supercross
Series.
Take note that the Calistoga Half-Mile has been
moved back one week to September 26.
