Dungey, who took the lead when
Andrew Short went down right
after the start. "I don't know
what happened to 'Shorty' there,
he was on my right. I couldn't
see him. From there I just tried
to really put down some good
opening laps. I saw [Weston]
Peick and [Jason] Anderson
there keeping me honest, so I
was trying to open that gap each
lap as much as I could and find
lines that were smoother and
better as the track developed. I
was able to open the gap a little
bit and just kind of run a steady
pace out front and come away
with a win, so it was nice."
After recording
his sixth win of the
season, Ryan Dungey
(5) is poised to win
his second AMA
Supercross title.
