Tomac did make a pass earlier on
Anderson, but it didn't stick at the
time.
"We went down that rhythm lane
and then he got me back on the next
90-degree corner before the triple.
I was a little bit surprised he was
there, but he obviously didn't want
to give up the position. I should have
been a little more on it. That was bad
on my part for not being aggressive
enough and shutting the door."
For Anderson, it was the first time
he had been on the podium since
Anaheim 1.
"I got a good start and just kind
of stayed behind Peick and then
ended up getting him in the corner
over there," said Anderson. "I just
stayed up there. We got passed by
Tomac and just tried to hang in there
until the end and ended up with a
podium. It was kind of an uneventful
race, but it was good for me to stay
in it the whole time."
Anderson admitted it had been
way too long since he had seen the
podium.
"I'm going in the right direction,"
said Anderson. "I feel like 12 races
was too long, but I got a podium
and I'm pumped. I'm not used to
riding up front because it's taken me
awhile to do it, but I felt good to be
up there. I'm just happy to get my
Husqvarna up there on the podium
and I'm pumped for my team. The
track was mellow but the transitions
were a little technical. All-in-all I felt
good, and this is something that
we definitely needed to go into the
weekend off."
