their bikes were on my legs. I did
get going in almost dead last.
I had to get really aggressive
and do what I could do to get
by people. I got right up there
to third and got hung-up with a
lapper and went down and back
to fifth. I managed to get back
into fourth."
Gerston was super happy to
get on the podium. "I'm feeling
like a million bucks," he said. "It
feels so good and it feels like
this is where I belong. I've been
working so, so hard during the
week. My DA8 Training has been
taking me to another level and
I eat, breathe, sleep Enduro-
Cross. Hopefully this is a start of
a big thing. I really have so much
fun out here racing and am very
fortunate to be here."
With his win, Brown puts
himself squarely in contention for
the 2015 Championship—even
after finishing out of the top five
at round one in Daytona and he
now solely owns third place on
the all-time AMA EnduroCross
wins list. Colton Haaker and
Cody Webb share the points
lead with Brown only two points
behind. Max Gerston has two
top-five finishes on the year for
fourth in the standings, nine
points back of the lead. New
Factory Beta racer Kyle Red-
mond holds down fifth place in
the points after a rough eighth
place. Redmond is 11 points out
of the lead.
After the main event win
it's safe to say Brown and his
Rockstar /FMF/Factory Racing
Husqvarna team have hit their
stride. Once you add in Haaker
and his two second-place finish-
es in as many races, and Sandra
Gomez' Women's Class win, it's
clear that the Husky brand has
some hefty momentum. CN
