WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
VOL. 52 ISSUE 12 MARCH 24, 2015 P71
Savatgy was happy to be back
on the podium after last week's
troubles.
"Last week was a hard pill to
swallow," said Savatgy of last
week's mechanical DNF. "These
are dirt bikes and nothing is
guaranteed and those things
sometimes happen. I'm just
glad we were able to come out
tonight and put it on the podium.
We're back on track now, and
my Monster Energy Kawasaki
got a great start and here we
are."
After crashing out of last
week's race, Yamalube/Star
Racing/Yamaha's Jeremy Martin
came into Detroit with a little ex-
tra incentive, but he was one of
many riders who got squeezed
out in the first turn, and the
250 outdoor MX champ found
himself in eighth at the end of
the opening lap. Martin moved
quickly into fourth on lap two,
and began a race-long battle
with teammate Anthony Rodri-
guez. Martin ended up getting
fourth and Rodriguez fifth. CN
