CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R Looks like it is going to be a Tomac versus Dungey battle in the outdoor Nationals. And that could be a barn-burner." Dangerous Tracks? Back when stadium MX started, Open-class bikes were the pre- mier class with 250s being the support class. Because of too much power in the Open bikes, for such small tracks, 250s became the premier class. Today we have Open-class power on Supercross tracks, yet the tracks are still small and even more dangerous with the designs currently used. It seems that tracks get more dangerous each year, but this year I have seen more red- cross flags, and red flags, than in any previous season; in fact, I believe there has been a red- cross flag in every Supercross event this season. I believe these tracks are designed to bring in the spectators, but I have to wonder, what it's go- ing to take before they design exciting, but safer, tracks? How many more top riders do we have to lose before the riders' safety takes precedence over the almighty dollar? Dan Cameron Woodland, California Paid Dues, Gets Rewards Well, that second race was kind of a sleeper. Jonathan Rea loves this ZX-10R, eh? It is great to see a guy that had to race at 120 percent on the CBR to even be in the mix finally confirming how fast he really is. And you can almost say the exact same statement for Leon Haslam, can't you? Paid Dues. Gets Rewards. Lowes and Suzuki demon- strate they will be contenders— if he can just calm down! Hope some of that Suzuki speed/set- up/ju-ju makes its way to Roger and Jake's bikes! Bob Close Via The Internet Detroit Supercross It was ET3's night. Just when you think Ryan Dungey has everyone covered with a good start, Eli Tomac reminds everyone how fast he is. Yes, Dungey may have been playing it safe, but on his best night, he's not beating Tomac heads up when Tomac finds his "flow" like he did Saturday night. I feel terrible for Trey Canard. It was such a great night for Honda and he couldn't take part. I sure hope he isn't injured too badly and will be ready for outdoors. Nice ride Cole Seely! Dungey 2015 Supercross champ! Todd Dooley Via The Internet Barring disaster, Ryan Dungey is the 2015 450 Supercross champ. Looks like it is going to be a Tomac versus Dungey battle in the outdoor Nationals. And that could be a barn-burner. I think Tomac is a much better out- door rider than a Supercross rider. Dungey could be in for quite a battle. Jim Bunch Via the Internet With Trey's crash, Dungey near- ly has a three-race lead over his closest healthy competitor, Tomac. I don't think anyone is surprised that Eli let it all hang out in Detroit and Dungey hung out in second. Dungey never tried to regain second after Eli's clean and forceful pass on him. Dungey has a good chance of wrapping up the title at Houston. With that in mind, the crash of Trey and Jake's must have been a certain reminder to him of how fast things can go bad.
