Dungey is on a serious roll right
now having won five of the last
seven races. At Indy he was
dominant. He took over be-
fore the end of the first lap and
stretched his lead to as high as
6.854 seconds with two laps to
go.
"The start was definitely key to-
night," Dungey said. "In the heat
race when I was in the back, I
found out that on this track it was
hard to pass guys. So to be able
to get up front [in the main] and
ride my own laps, that was most
important. As the laps started
ticking away I was just trying to
open up the gap a little bit and
get a comfortable lead."
Perhaps the only drama all
night was when GEICO Honda's
Eli Tomac, who'd crashed,
picked up his bike and began
racing with Dungey in the clos-
ing laps. It almost appeared that
Tomac was trying to prod Dungey
into a battle, at one point looking
For the fourth time
this year, both Red
Bull KTM's Marvin
Musquin (25) and
Dungey have swept
the top step of the
podium.
