VOL. 52 ISSUE 11 MARCH 17, 2015 P55 went back to what we had for the last qualifying and then we just slowly worked up." Bromley got off to a terrible start and was 12 th at the end of lap one. "Actually Barry Carston, my brother and my dad kept telling me, if you ride low and just stay low the whole time people will make mistakes and go wide," said Bromley. "I did that and I kept finding a hole in one and two, and three and four. People just drifted about two feet and I'd just stick my wheel in there and just plow right through." On Friday, Justin Jones be- came a first-time winner in the class with an impres- sive ride. The RLJ Racing/Honda rider grabbed the holeshot and led every lap to finish 2.695 seconds ahead of runner-up Davis Fisher on the Parkinson Brothers Racing Honda. "I was off to the inside there and I shut the door as soon as I could and make sure nobody got a wheel in there and make them fight it on the outside," said Jones. "The first half of the race I really charged hard, made sure I got that gap. I took a peek over my shoulder and realized I had pretty good room and I just started rid- ing around, picking off the laps smoothly, making sure no mistakes." Fisher made a few chassis changes over night, which he said made a huge difference and helped earn him the second- place finish. "Yesterday we had some troubles, but today we qualified first and got a good start on the line and just got a good start and kept my pace with Justin Jones. The track changed a lot. There was more racing, there were a lot more lines to use. It's been a great day." Third place went to class rookie Dalton Gauthier aboard his Powersports Yamaha. "I had a bad start but I worked my way up to third," said Gauth- ier. "I tried to pass as many people as quick as I could but too late and the leaders were already gone by the time I got into third, but it was a good night for my rookie debut." Meanwhile, Luker, who won Thursday's event, rounded out the top four ahead of Brandon Wilhelm on a Wilhelm Racing Honda. Luker leads in points after two rounds by one over Jones. CN Race One 1.
