Bradl was demoted to join
the Forward Yamaha team,
joined on the near-factory
Open bikes by ex-Superbiker
Loris Baz.
Ducati's second-string
strength has gone up (and
Kawasaki gone away) after the
Avintia team switched brands.
Hector Barbera and Mike di
Meglio will be on various ver-
sions of the old model; likewise
Pramac stalwart Yonny Her-
nandez and the team's Iannone
replacement Danilo Petrucci. They too will run
under Open rules.
A total of 25 riders is completed by Alex de
Angelis on an ageing Aprilia, in the cash-strapped
Ioda team. His ART is a hangover from the CRT
production-based days.

Two major things stay the same in Moto2. Firstly,
the reigning champion Tito Rabat is the first to
stay on to defend his title. Secondly, he will again
be riding a Kalex chassis.
So will almost everybody else.
Of the 31 entries, only eight will not be on the
German chassis; and only two will be on the once
most popular Swiss Suter option. There are also
three each Speed Up and Tech 3 chassis.

one-up his older
brother with a
title in Moto2 his
first year? (Below)

title on Rossi's
