WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 52 ISSUE 10 MARCH 10, 2015 P73 Briefly... ha's Josh Hill suffered a hard get-off during practice and did not return. He was transported to the hospital with reportedly injured ribs and col- larbone. Ryan Dungey said that his Red Bull KTM Team built a special "Daytona" track to practice on at trainer Aldon Baker's property. "We had a whole different layout," said Dungey. "It kind of worked out good because we had a small Daytona section and we were going to ride a lot of the Supercross track, but it ended up being muddy from the rain the previous weekend. So Monday, we didn't ride the Super- cross track, we just built more of a Daytona section in the black dirt at Baker's facility, Aldon's new training facility. The team Red Bull KTM guys came down; we didn't do a lot. All we did was a little bit of shock change. I raced my same forks I race with in Supercross and softened the shock up a little bit, and just tried to get some stability in the bike and just absorb those square edges. It was just getting comfortable, putting in our laps, doing our motos and then showing up as ready as we can be. Like I said before, it's the best I've felt at Daytona with the bike setup." During his run from 10 th to the front, Eli Tomac methodically picked off rider after rider, getting help when a crash slowed others in front of him. "The way my start was, I honestly thought I should've been dead last," Tomac said. "But I came out inside the top 10. At that point, I was at the back of a big pack of guys. A couple of guys went down, and when those crossed-flags were out, it kind of bunched everyone up." continued on next page
