W
hen you hop inside a
friend's car, a new car,
your wife or husband's
car, or even a rent-a-car, what's
the first thing you do? Reach for
the seat adjustment, right? And
maybe even the steering wheel's
up-and-down adjustment lever.
In fact, we do this so much that
we really don't even think about
it anymore. It's just what we do
to get comfortable when we get
into a car. But why isn't it the
same for motorcycles? Sure,
you can adjust the handlebar
position a bit, but that requires a
wrench or tool that you probably
don't conveniently have in your
pocket. And you can't quickly
or easily adjust the seat—if at
all—on a motorcycle. Only a
few high-end models have that
luxury; even then, it's usually not
as simple as just reaching down
and flipping a switch. Mirrors
are about the only thing you can
adjust instantly and easily when
hopping on a street bike for the
first time. Kawasaki, however, is
trying to do this with one of its
latest cruisers, the Vulcan S.
The Vulcan S is a 650cc
