Dino, along with a small staff of enthusiasts, started by
rethinking how trekking boots were made, then moved on
to create the first rear entry ski boot. From there he took
the first steps in building what is today the premier brand
in bicycling shoes-Sidi. Not being satisfied with these
more mainstream sports, in his spare time, Dino dabbled
in one of his country's favorite sports, motorcycling!
Not being one to mess around (the man to this day is a
dynamo), in 1969 Dino jumped into moto in a big way.
He aligned himself and Sidi with Italy's motorcycle hero,
Giacomo Agostini, who helped Sidi advance road race
footwear to new heights. At the same time Dino signed
up an outgoing Belgian, five time world champion Joel
Robert. Sidi created for Robert the world's first purpose
built motocross boot. This boot was sold in the USA
under the brand name Full Bore that, at the time, was the
premier aftermarket line in this country.
In subsequent years, Dino with the Sidi design team,
have created some of the most groundbreaking designs
in motorcycle footwear. The Royal boot was the first
boot to offer inner ankle protection, the TAE SRS sole
replacement system; which is still in use today as is the
bullet proof and we must say, perfect, cam-lock off road
