for lightning starts but his inabil-
ity to avoid inhibiting injuries has
tended to wreck championship
aspirations.
"I was a bit surprised actually
because I could not train in the
last two weeks [in reference to
a broken rib]. Still, I had good
starts, which were important and
I think the main thing was that
the suspension and the bike was
working so well here. WP have
done a brilliant job and we've
done great testing. The bike was
so strong and I really like that
kind of engine and power."
Losail played a vital role and
almost a villain's part. The terrain
was wet and soggy through wa-
tering and the need to cope with
lofty temperatures during the
afternoon until the evening when
the circuit's 420 lights would
come into play. Riders com-
