When the heat race came around, he had a tip over and would have to settle for fourth and not the best of gate picks. But he quickly got over that and shot his Factory Edition 250 SX-F into the lead and never looked back. "I pushed really hard through the first turn and put myself into the lead, so I was happy," Musquin said. "At that point, I was like, 'okay, here we go,' just like practice. I was actually riding quite confident, and not pushing too hard, because that track was tough and it was easy to make some mistakes. I'm just happy to get here with the win again." ADMITTING DEFEAT Jeremy Martin had no excuses for getting second on the night, saying that Musquin just rode a better race. "He was the bet- ter man tonight," Martin said. "I tried. I had an opportunity and didn't capitalize on it. We'll go back this week and work hard and come back for Daytona and be ready." T OP -FIVE Joey Savatgy put one of Mitch Payton's Monster Energy/Pro Cir- cuit Kawasaki's into the top-five after getting off to a sixth-place start. He eventually got into fifth, then had to fight his way around Decotis before nabbing fourth. "Overall it was a good night," Savatgy said.
