ing to find their stride and seem
to be gaining momentum as
the year goes on. Baggett, who
many feel is an outdoor special-
ist, is excited about his Atlanta
swing and is looking forward to
next week's race at Daytona, the
most "outdoor" style track on the
SX circuit.
"I just kept it steady [tonight],"
Baggett said. "The track was
super technical and it got really
slippery. The rocks started to
come up, so it made it really
tricky to get in and out of the
turns without washing out the
front wheel. I just stayed out of
trouble.
"It was not the cleanest night
on the first few laps, but I came
away with a fifth and I'll take it.
I'm looking forward to playing in
the sand next week in Daytona."
Honda HRC's Cole Seely had
a disappointing night. After riding
a wave of momentum with some
strong performances coming
into the race, the Honda rider
had both his bike and his mo-
mentum stall at Atlanta II.
Seely got off to a bad start
then killed the motor, dropping
to last place. "I don't know if a
rock or something got stuck in
my brake lever or what, but the
rear end locked up, and I stalled
it. It took me too long to get it
started and had to start from
scratch again. Dead last, came
back to 12
th
"I know it's my rookie year and
all, and things aren't going to go
perfect but I'm just bummed on
the night."
