For the multitude of enthu- siasts that are transitioning away from the impracticality of modern sportbikes, yet are in need of a machine that can deliver some adrenaline when called for, the R 1200 R is a definite shoo-in. The 2015 BMW R 1200 R is available in three distinct color schemes; Basic, "Style 1," and "Style 2." Basic is a deep Cor- doba blue. Style 1 is a dynamic white with large R decals and a red frame. Style 2 is Thunder Grey with gold anodized calipers and a stainless steel tank cover. MSRP starts at $14,100. CN The R 1200 R is capable of some semi long-distance riding, but the lack of a windshield will make long runs on the freeways a bit of a grind for some.
