VOL. 52 ISSUE 8 FEBRUARY 24, 2015 P33
Walker pass him on the first ob-
stacle. Then Walker went down
on the second and had to work
his way back up from fifth. Bla-
zusiak went on to take the win
but Walker moved up to second
place by the finish line.
Blazusiak had a midpack start
in the second race where riders
start in reverse order. He had a
very good line over the firewood
and rocks and went wide to pass
his way into second, where he
set to work battling Knight for the
lead. When Knight pushed Blazu-
siak wide, it was just the opportu-
nity Webb needed to slip by them
both and secure the lead. Walker
came from behind to take second
while Blazusiak held on for third.
With the overall at stake, the
final race was a nail-biter, as the
KTM riders, once again, dueled
it out. Blazusiak was the only rid-
er doubling over the water sec-
tion, which proved to be a big ad-
vantage. He went on to take his
second win of the night ahead of
Webb and Gomez.
"It feels great to get four
straight wins in the champion-
ship," Blazusiak said. "Every-
thing feels like it's going better
than ever. I knew coming into
Mexico that the racing was go-
ing to be tight and competitive.
But I also knew that if I could just
be consistent and put in decent
lap times then I could get the top
step of the podium. I had some
fun battles—especially in the final
race with Cody [Webb]—so it's
been a great result to win here."
Webb's RPM/KTM teammate
Ty Tremaine had a stellar night
in Guadalajara, and, once again,
topped the Junior division. It was
Tremaine's night in Mexico, as
he took all three Junior race vic-
tories and has now regained the
points lead in the championship.
His nearest competitor in the se-
ries, Andreas Linusson, had a
sub-par evening with three third-
place finishes, yielding a total of
15 points to Tremaine.
Fellow American rider Kyle
Redmond is also continuing to
advance in the championship.
The factory Beta USA rider is
showing steady improvement,
and carded a seventh-place fin-
ish in Mexico with his 8-6-5 tally.
Due to his recently diagnosed
broken wrist, American KTM rid-
er Taylor Robert is out for the rest
of the FIM SuperEnduro Champi-
onship. Robert had been running
sixth in the series. Although he
was not able to compete, Robert
was still on hand in Guadalajara
to cheer on his fellow American
racers and even help out with so-
cial media for the series.
