IN THE WIND P26 ROBERT BROKEN F MF KTM's Taylor Robert has to put his racing on hold for a while. It turns out that an injury he suffered back in December is more serious than first thought. Robert injured his wrist while practicing but no major damage was found at the time, though pain persisted. After further eval- uation, doctors recently found a broken scaphoid bone in the wrist and he will now have to un- dergo surgery, which is planned for March 3. This will force Robert to miss the last three rounds of the FIM SuperEnduro Series, as well as the first two rounds of the AMA EnduroCross Series, which gets underway on March 6. BRABEC TOPS CHECK CHASE NATIONAL H&H T HR Motorsports/Precision Concepts/ Bonanza Plumbing-backed Ricky Bra- bec came from behind to win the 65 th An- nual Check Chase World Championship National Hare & Hound in Barstow, Califor- nia, February 22. It was the second round of the Kenda/SRT AMA Hare & Hound Na- tional Championship Series, which Brabec now leads. He took the points lead away from first-round winner Gary Sutherlin who did not finish the race, having suffered a broken wrist. Second place went to FMF/KTM's Ivan Ramirez, followed by Purvines Racing Be- ta's Axel Pearson.
