CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "Both of the World Superbike races were just brilliant, or to borrow from the Brits—'Mega!' Philip Island World Superbike Both of the World Superbike races were just brilliant, or to borrow from the Brits—"Mega!" You just can't ask for three final laps in each race to be better— OMG! I really enjoyed the (new) commentary voices. Stunning to see van der Mark lead—on the Honda no less—in his sec- ond World Superbike race, and wonderful to see Leon Haslam show everyone that, one, he's not done yet and, two, how fast/good that the Aprilia pack- age is. I think/hope/pray there is a Laguna Seca World Super- bike weekend in 2015 for me. Bob Close Via the Internet Atlanta Supercross Thoughts I'm a Dungey fan but Chad deserved that win. Brian Weast Via the Internet I was pretty excited to see Chad Reed stay out front the whole time. I thought Ryan Dungey would catch him there, the last part of the race, but when Dungey got closer, he seemed to keep that gap. Great win! Roczen, what the hell is go- ing on with Ken? He's crashing a lot lately, and that slam into the plywood wall, I thought he at least broke his leg. Then dur- ing the race he went flying. Is it just youthful enthusiasm getting the best of him? I hope he gets settled enough to stay on the track; his speed when he does is very good, but I did not expect to see this from him. John A. Stockman Via the Internet Chad Reed was the man of the evening. He showed what being a veteran is all about. He kept his cool, rode his pace and controlled the race. Great ride. The series is now Ryan Dungey's to lose. With a full race lead over second place, and the reputation of being there every race, he will be tough to beat for the series. Smooth, smart, boring, as usual. I think he could have caught Chad, but he chose to stay out of trouble. Trey Canard is now picking up some of that Dungey consis- tency—look at his place in the standings. He is learning what Dungey already knows. Great ride for Cole Seely. He is really stepping up. I think that he will be a real contender in 2016. Working-class hero Weston Peick is riding very well and has the ability to run top five every event. He'll be another contender in 2016. Broc Tickle is getting better all the time. The man is a testa- ment to dedication. Difficult to say, but Ken Roc- zen is in meltdown. He needs to calm down, there is still a lot of racing left. Overall, it was another great show; the fans are getting their money's worth. With all these up and comer's 2016 might be even better. Jim Bunch Via the Internet Chad Reed rules! Steve Silverman Via the Internet Oh, did we all forget the Ca- nard cheap shot already? Not me. Kim Palmer Via the Internet More Women Super- cross Racers, Please We would love to see many competent female riders in AMA Supercross. We hope a good team will offer a ride to Laia Sanz, but I don't know if she would be interested. If any women rider is capable of being a challenger she is definitely the real deal. Here's hoping to see her riding soon in Supercross. Chuck & Anne Fairchild Via the Internet Letters to the editor can be sent to voices@cyclenews.com.
