"It was crazy," said Musquin.
"With that eighth place at the
heat race, that's not the same
when you win your heat race
you feel comfortable and you're
ready to go and win it. So you
got to be strong and think about
that start. I was pretty far out-
side. I pushed really hard and
right after the gate it was so
bumpy. But I tried my best and
actually fought pretty hard to get
into a good position in the first
lap and I made it happen.
"When I got into third, I saw
those guys in front of me,"
Musquin said. "Jeremy was
behind, I knew he was fast and
I knew he was fit. I also knew
that Bogle and Davalos were,
too, and 15 laps, it's quite long
and it's tough. So I wanted to
get it done, but I did too many
mistakes. I almost went down
too many times. I didn't jump
that triple there and then Jeremy
went by and kind of gave him the
spot. He was going for it but I
gave him that spot."
Bogle was so close to get-
ting his first win of the year, but
couldn't hold off Martin's incred-
ible charge, and then finally lost
second to Musquin.
"I rode as hard as I could
and managed to get around
Davalos after a few attempts,"
said Bogle. "At that point I finally
felt like I was getting into a good
rhythm for the first time all day,
then I started struggling with my

in practice, where he injured his foot. The
