VOL. 52 ISSUE 7 FEBRUARY 18, 2015 P63 my hips are so tight I can barely get my feet to click and it looks bad, and he can do them off the littlest jumps. So the heel-clicker was just a little something to add on top of it. I guess for those who know me, that's not my style. Maybe it caught a lot of guys ob- viously off guard." Perhaps Dungey's most signifi- cant feat all night was grabbing the holeshot, which has been a Briefly... pretty careful with how much force I put to my legs. That's going to send through my back as well. Right now until probably 10 weeks in I got to be still pretty careful." GEICO Honda rider RJ Hampshire made his Supercross debut in Arling- ton. Hampshire, who won the AMA Horizon award in 2014, said the pace of the field and tough pro layout of the track were everything he expect- ed. "I wasn't too concerned about my finishing position; it was more about turning laps and hitting my spots," Hampshire said. "Especially after the big crash I had in practice. There was a time there where we didn't even know if they'd let me race in the night program. So coming from that point to a seventh-place finish isn't too bad. My speed seemed good. I can improve, for sure, but I'm where I should be probably at this point. I think there are some things I can work on in practice that will make it better for me next week. I need bet- ter starts and I need to avoid trouble. One of my main goals is to race ev- ery lap of every main event this year." Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvar- na's Jason Anderson made the best of a midpack start in the 450 main. "My weekend was decent," said Anderson. "I'm climbing my way back up again and ended up sixth. The track was a little bit sketchy with the lines and there was concrete in spots. Other than that I'm not too bummed on the night. There were a lot of weird crashes tonight and, on a track where so much could have gone wrong, I feel like I kept my head and rode smart and stayed up. I just have to keep riding solid and keep the top-10 streak alive." Dungey got out in front of the 450 main and never looked back. continued on next page
