SUPERCROSS
2015 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
ROUND 7/FEBRUARY 14, 2015
AT&T STADIUM/ARLINGTON, TEXAS
P72
there for the entire race.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna
Factory Racing's Jason Ander-
son was sixth, despite having to
make the main through one of the
semi races. Anderson was 11
th
on
the opening lap of the main, but
managed to make some quick
passes during the first few laps
before settling in behind Short.
Eli Tomac was looking good,
after finishing second in his heat.
However, the GEICO Honda rider
got caught up with Chad Reed in
the main, and then he later went
down on his own and eventually
finished the night in seventh.
"The fall didn't cost me posi-
tions but it cost enough time off
that it pretty much assured me of
not having a chance at the podi-
um," Tomac said. "I'm never one
to make excuses, but I was just
down on power today, to be hon-
est. I think I might have overdone
it a bit in practice and maybe
having to travel east hurt. I'm not
sure. I just didn't have anything
in the tank. I'll definitely rest a bit
more this week and recharge my
batteries. We're switching from
our place in California to home
(in Cortez, Colorado), so that will
lessen the travel. I need to do
whatever I can to get back on the
podium every race."
With seven races in the books,
Dungey holds a 12-point lead
over Roczen, with Canard sitting
third another 11 points back.
EAST 250 MAIN
Marvin Musquin was in a league
of his own in the 250 class. The
Red Bull KTM rider turned the
fastest time in qualifying, led ev-
ery lap of his heat race and then
led every lap of the main event.
What makes his performance
even more amazing is that he
missed all of last year's Super-
cross season with a knee injury.
Adding to the drama of his win
was that he, in a sense, had to
win it twice. Musquin grabbed
the holehot in the main and
pulled away to almost a five-sec-
ond lead over Justin Bogle, then
on lap eight the race was red
flagged when Kyle Cunningham
crashed. The race was restarted
Blake Baggett
enjoyed his
best 450-class
finish ever with
a fourth.
