VOL. 52 ISSUE 7 FEBRUARY 18, 2015 P43 Edition shed 10 pounds over the standard SX-F, according to KTM. We have not had a chance to weigh the FE ourselves, but on our scale, the 2015 KTM SX-F 450 model weighed 249 pounds full of fuel, which puts the FE at 239 pounds (wet). This easily makes the new FE the light- est bike in its class. Before that, it was the 2015 Honda CRF450R, which weighed 243 pounds (wet) on our scale. At the first Supercross round this year, Dungey's "works" FE reportedly came in right at the AMA weight limit, which is 220 pounds without fuel (and that's with electric starting, too!). The BTO KTM Team had to actually add weight to Short's bike by installing heavier axles.
