hen five-time 500cc World Motocross
Champion Roger DeCoster joined the
Red Bull KTM factory squad in 2011, the
legendary racer and champion maker had a
vision. The new team manager wanted to build
the ultimate bike for his factory racers to com-
pete in both Supercross and motocross. Four
years later, that vision came to fruition when,
in early December, KTM revealed the all-new
2015 450 SX-F Factory Edition (FE) that Ryan
Dungey and Red Bull KTM teammate Dean
Wilson would be racing in the 2015 season,
as would KTM's sister team, BTO Sports/
KTM's Andrew Short and Justin Brayton.
Only 500 of these Factory Editions will
be available for the public in the U.S., just
enough for KTM to meet the homologation
rule, which allows Dungey and crew to race
the bike in 2015. In case you haven't
noticed, Dungey is leading the '15 SX
Championship on the new Factory Edition,
so it's off to a good start.
