hile most of the country focused on
football over the weekend, the Dirt
Diggers Motorcycle Club's Taft Grand
Prix – round two of the AMA District 37/MSR
Big 6 Grand Prix Series – proved an irresistible
alternative for those who preferred to put in a few
laps on a perfectly groomed course at Honolulu
Hills Raceway.
The number of entries for the weekend once
again broke the 1000 mark, with Precision
Concepts Kawasaki's Robby Bell dominating the
AMA West Coast Grand Prix Series race for his
first victory in the feature event. Bell pointed out,
"I won two weeks ago [here] at [the] WORCS

Blayne Thompson
pulled a massive
holeshot in the
West Coast GP
and led early but
ultimately ended
up sixth after the
rear hub broke on
the last lap.
