WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
VOL. 52 ISSUE 5 FEBRUARY 3, 2015 P69
Baggett had the best race of
his rookie season, getting the
holeshot and racing for the top
five in the first half of the race
before falling back to seventh.
And while seventh wasn't ideal,
Baggett was pleased with the
result and the momentum he
gained that night.
In eighth was AutoTrader.com/
Toyota/JGRMX Yamaha's Justin
Barcia, who finished ahead of
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's
Jason Anderson and Monster
Energy/Valli Motorsports Ya-
maha rider Josh Hill.

TWICE THE RESULT
Come hell or high water, Cooper
Webb was going to win A3. And
he had to prove it twice as the
race was red flagged six laps in
to account for Zach Osborne's
gate malfunction. So as per the
AMA rulebook it was a complete
restart, making that first six-lap
effort null and void.
Webb was not happy about it.
He finally had a race where he
got into the lead much earlier
than the rest of the season.
None of that silly arduous fight-
ing through the pack as he had
done before.
On the other hand, Anaheim
I winner Jessy Nelson wasn't
going to look a gift horse in the
mouth. A bad start in the first
running of the race had the TLD/
Lucas Oil/Red Bull/KTM rider
in 11
th
at the time of the red flag,
so the restart gave Nelson a
second chance and he took it,
as well as the holeshot.
