VOL. 52 ISSUE 5 FEBRUARY 3, 2015 P59
The KTM is an all-round better machine
and climbed up a notch in our 2015
shootout. Like the Kawasaki, it has a
motor that appeals to the pros.
Most of our testing took place at Glen
Helen Raceway, which offers a variety
of terrain and rough conditions. The Honda, with its
plush suspension, soaked up the Glen Helen bumps.
The former 250F king, the Kawasaki,
still rips but is not as easy to ride as
the well-rounded Yamaha YZ250F. It
has a very aggressive motor, which is
great for some but not all.
Yamaha didn't make a whole lot of
changes to the 2015 YZ250F. Turns out,
they didn't need to. It's still the standard
by which all other 250Fs are judged.
