BLOSE
CLEANS UP IN
NASHVILLE
T
he fourth round of the 2015
season of AMSOIL Aren-
across, featuring Ricky Carmi-
chael's Road to Supercross,
made its debut inside Bridge-
stone Arena on Saturday, Janu-
ary 31, in what ended up being
a perfect night for Team Bab-
bitt's Monster Energy Kawasaki's
Chris Blose. The first-year Arena-
cross-class competitor earned
his second overall win of the sea-
son by becoming the first rider to
sweep both main events and win
the RMATV/MC Head 2 Head
Challenge in one night.
As good as his night was, it
wasn't good enough to take over
the points lead in what has been
a very competitive season up to
this point. Blose took over fourth
place in the championship, but
the series did see a new points
leader at the end of the night.
Jacob Hayes, Blose's team-
mate, narrowly beat out TiLUBe
Husqvarna's Kyle Regal for sec-
ond overall, which was enough
to put the Kawasaki at the top of
the leaderboard after four rounds
and six races.
Matt Georke held the point
going into the race but suffered
crashes in both main events. The
Team Babbitt's Monster Energy
Kawasaki Team rider, Georke,
finished outside the top 10 each
time out and is now trailing Hayes
by nine points but is ahead of Re-
gal by 10 points.
A&Y Racing Honda's Daniel
Herriein finished fourth overall
and Thermo Tech Yamaha's Bob-
by Kiniry was fifth overall.
In the Eastern Regional Arena-
cross Lites division, Spinechill-
ers Racing KTM's Dave Ginolfi
took the win.
Herriein, who was competing
in both classes and was the Lites
points leader entering the eve-
ning, sat comfortably out front,
but a mistake in the whoops on
lap six forced him off the track
and dropped him outside the top
10. That allowed Monster Energy
Kawasaki Team Green's Mitchell
Harrison to take control of the
Main event with Ginolfi hot on his
rear fender and GEICO Honda's
Tristan Charboneau in third. Gi-
nolfi's constant pressure on Har-
rison paid off on lap 13 when he
was able to take advantage of a
small mistake by Harrison and
take over the top spot. Ginolfi
went on to take his first win of the
season. Harrison ended up sec-
ond, followed by Charboneau.
Ginolfi's win, combined with
Herrlein's troubles, allowed the
KTM rider to take the points lead
by one over Herrlein.
Chris Blose (63) went undefeat-
ed at the Nashville Arenacross.
