A smiling Kenny Roberts was pictured on the cover 40 years ago after win-
ning the Camel Pro Series TT at the Houston Astrodome. Roberts ran away
with the win with Gary Scott fi nishing a distant second. The 23-year-old Rob-

eight-year history. Darryl Hurst won the Short Track on this night… We found
out what it's like to tear down a Honda GL
1000 motor… The Prospectors Enduro, one
of the most popular enduros in the west,
was also featured in the issue.
