TEAM HONDA'S TREY CANARD
W
hen Trey Canard moved into second be-
hind Chad Reed, everyone was expect-
ing fireworks, but that didn't happen. In-
stead, Canard made a clean and uncontroversial
pass on the TwoTwo Motorsports rider, putting
his Honda into the lead. The Supercross standout
from Oklahoma went on to claim his first win of the
2015 season, and by doing so threw his hat into
the ring of hopefuls for the 2015 championship.
For sure, Canard and Reed were getting a lot
of extra scrutiny in Oakland after their altercation
last week in Anaheim, but in the end, neither rider
let it affect them on the track
After the race, we spoke with Canard about his
win and the fallout from the Anaheim II incident.
First of all, how does it feel to get that long-
awaited win tonight?
It was a little rough there towards the end; I
made a bunch of mistakes, but I'm so grateful.
Last week was not much fun with all the drama.
I was glad that Chad and I were able to get
on the podium. I'm just so happy with the way
