SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD ROUND 4/JANUARY 24, 2015 O.CO COLISEUM/OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA P50 Canard in third. Canard's Honda teammate Cole Seely turned in his best finish in the premier class with a fifth in Oakland. "I'm really stoked with the way I rode tonight," said Seely. "I showed my speed in practice and ran up front at the beginning of the main. I made a few mis- takes, but regardless I'm happy to take home fifth and just keep improving from here." WEST REGIONAL 250 SUPERCROSS ANOTHER STEWART ON TOP After several close calls, Mal- colm Stewart finally got his first Supercross win of his career, topping a talented field in Oak- land to win round four of the West Regional 250 SX class. The GEICO Honda rider moved to the front when early leaders Justin Hill and Chris Alldredge went down. And at the end of the race, Stewart barely held on to take the win over a fast approaching Cooper Webb, who was racing to the front after hav- ing collided early in the race with Tyler Bowers and gone down. Stewart led the final eight laps of the race and took the check- ers with 1.443 seconds to spare over Webb. "It's an amazing feeling getting this first win," said Stewart. "It was tough in the beginning, but we kept pushing. I can't thank my brother enough. He told me this week that if I believe in myself then there's no reason I can't win." "I can't thank this team enough, either," added Stewart. "Coming into this season I didn't have a ride, and [team co-owner] Jeff Majkrzak approached me and gave me the opportunity to ride and now, I'm returning the favor. I just want to pay him back as much as I can because he believes in me and that's why he got me on this team." Stewart admitted after the race that he didn't even know he was Cooper Webb had an adventurous ride to second place in the 250 main.
