FLAT TRACK 2015 TROY BAYLISS CLASSIC JANUARY 17, 2015 TAREE MOTORCYCLE CLUB/TAREE, AUSTRALIA P86 track event, was held under per- fect blue skies with temperatures soaring to 93.6-degrees by the mid-point of the day, before the business end of the action took place in cooler conditions under lights. The hectic schedule, which also saw eight different amateur classes, all with their A NIGHT OF STARS The Troy Bayliss Classic has always been more than just a bunch of fast guys on dirt. Nowhere else in the world, save for possibly the Superprestigio in Spain, can fans see such an array of current and former cham- pions from nearly every discipline of motorcycle competition. Aside from headliners Mees, Wiles, Halbert and three-time WSBK Champion Bayliss, other names included three-time Speedway World Champion Jason Crump; World Supersport Cham- pion and MotoGP race winner Chris Vermeulen; eight-time Australian MX Champion and AMA MX rider Jay Marmont; MotoGP star Jack Miller; German Superbike-based Aussie Damian Cud- lin; MotoGP rider Broc Parkes; former AMA dirt tracker Michael Kirkness; three-time Australian Su- perbike Champion Shawn Giles and former MotoGP, WSBK and World Endur- ance rider Peter Goddard. There were also many riders who had earned their stripes racing in the USA at the TBC. Along racing with Kirkness and God- dard, who spent a couple of years racing AMA dirt track in the '80s before switch- ing to road racing, were former AMA motocross and former 500cc World MX number two Jeff Leisk; AMA Supersport rider Damon Buckmaster; AMA Super- cross star Daniel Reardon; AMA Supermoto Champion Troy Herfoss and Australian Motocross legend Stephen Gall. There's more Australian and World Champions here than you'll find anywhere in the world.
