BTO Sports KTM's Andrew Short
struggled in practice on the tight and
slippery track, but got off to another
good start in the main and finished
seventh.
GEICO Honda's Matt Bisceglia was
caught up in a first lap pileup at the
start of the 250 main." Somebody
hit me from the back, and I went into
a hay bale," Bisceglia said. "Then
Shane McElrath fell over on me, and
I had nowhere to go. My bike went
straight up his bike. I ended up going
down." Bisceglia got up and fought
back to an 11th-place effort finish.
"I was pretty much in dead last,
but I came back as far as I could,"
Bisceglia said. "I fought for as long
as I could and came back as far as
I could. We'll move on to next week-
end and hopefully get some more
good starts—and fight." Shan McEl-
rath, on the TLD/Lucas Oil/Red
Bull/KTM, also rebounded well and
ended up eighth.
Speaking of the TLD/Lucas Oil/
Red Bull/KTM Team, Darryn Dur-
ham did not suit up at Phoenix. The
250-class racer suffered a wrist in-
jury at the Anaheim opener and will
be sidelined for a while.
Rockstar Energy Racing Husqvar-
na's Zach Osborne came into the
Phoenix race with a broken thumb
that he suffered at Anaheim I. Os-
borne grabbed the holeshot in the
main event and eventually finished
a commendable seventh. "Overall it
