underdog situation, so it's nice to
perform pretty well on a night like
tonight.
"It was a good night and have
to keep the ball rolling and make
the podiums. I think that's going
to be the key."
Ryan Dungey, another guy that
has been to more than a few Ana-
heim I rodeos, was also happy to
leave the season opener intact
and with a decent result.
"Overall, the night went good,"
Dungey said. "Anaheim I is always
a hectic one. We got off to a de-
cent start, but there was a little bit
of carnage the first lap. That's rac-
ing—rookies being rookies. With
that being said, we just fell into a
decent pace, but definitely felt like
we could've been better in a few
areas. It's only the first round and
it's good to see where we're at."
Unlike his former teammate
(and training partner) Roczen,
Dungey has the same team, but
a brand new KTM. And while the
expectations were high, A1 was
also a proving ground for where
the new machine stacked up.
"The bike is really good,"
Dungey said. "They made big
progress coming into the year, it
