VOL. 52 ISSUE 1 JANUARY 6, 2015 P35 BOU OFF TO FLYING START R eigning and eight-time FIM X-Trial World Cham- pion Toni Bou started his 2015 campaign with a resounding victory at the opening round of the new series held in Sheffield, Great Britain, January 3. The Repsol Honda rider Bou finished both quali- fication and the final on a single mark each time and left even his closest rivals far off in his wake. Once again, Albert Cabestany (Sherco) was the runner-up and Adam Raga (Gas Gas) made it an all-Spanish podium. Jeroni Fajardo (Beta) complet- ed Spain's clean sweep on the night, as he placed fourth with just two marks splitting the lower three positions in the final. "I'm really pleased about how the year has be- gun," said Bou. "I was a little nervous and wanted to start off aggressively. I think I did really well. We've worked really hard over the last few months of the year, and I'm really happy with the work that we've got done, and the way it all went today."
