VOL. 52 ISSUE 1 JANUARY 6, 2015 P27 ROADRACE FACTORY LINE-UP T he RoadRace Factory team announced that reigning Daytona Sportbike Cham- pion Jake Gagne will be leading RoadRace Factory's efforts in the new MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 class in 2015. Making the transition from the R6 to the brand new R1 is no small feat and Gagne has been preparing all off-season for this new challenge. "I'm beyond excited to be on the new R1 and back with the RoadRace Factory/Red Bull family," Gagne said via a team release. "And with the MotoAmerica series coming in, the future is looking very bright. The new challenge of the Superstock is going to be awesome and I can't wait to swing my leg over the R1, especially going back to some of my favorite tracks here." Team manager Danny Walker is looking forward to expanding the team to the Super- stock class, one that will race with AMA Su- perbikes, but scored separately. "We are very excited about getting Jake back on our team and to see what he can do aboard the new R1," Walker said. "We know he is one of the most capable riders in the U.S. and pairing him up with the big bike is really going to showcase his talent and the capabilities of the all new R1. 2015 in MotoAmerica is going to be a fantastic ad- venture for everyone and we're excited to get racing." In addition to Gagne racing in Superstock, the team will field three riders in Supersport: Tomas Puerta, Ben Young and Cameron Petersen. Returning rider, Puerta, of Colombia, will be a force to be reckoned with as he is already ac- quainted with the team and his Yamaha R6. Scot- tish rider Ben Young will be making his return to American road racing after a season away in the British Superbike Series in 1000cc Superstock. South African 2013 Super600 Champion, Camer- on Petersen, is hoping to be quick to adapt to the new circuits and team as he has shown prowess in his tenure in the South African Series. The team will also be flying new colors and spon- sors in the Supersport class. Tim Hortons will be the title sponsor for Ben Young's effort while they are finalizing a new sponsor for Tomas Puerta and Cameron Petersen. Larry Lawrence Jake Gagne joins Factory RoadRace Team.
