2015 SUPERCROSS PREVIEW
P80
In addition to the usual venues we've
been accustomed to over the past few
years—like Angel Stadium, Daytona Inter-
national Speedway, and Atlanta's Georgia
Dome—there are a few new wrinkles to
this year's schedule, which will add a bit
of variety and bring Supercross to a com-
pletely new audience.
For 2015, Supercross will make its de-
but in two new locations: Levi's Stadium in
Santa Clara, California, home of the NFL's
San Francisco 49ers; and Petco Park in
San Diego, home to Major League Base-
ball's San Diego Padres.
The San Francisco race falls on April 15,
and will mark the second time the series
visits California's Bay Area, since there is
also a race at Oakland's O.co Coliseum
on January 24.
Also new to the 17-race schedule is a
second trip to the Georgia Dome in At-
lanta. Like Anaheim, the Atlanta race
draws some of the largest crowds of the
year, which warrants a second trip to the
venue. The Atlanta rounds are on back-to-
back weekends, scheduled for Febru-
ary 21 and February 28.
Of course, there will be no short-
age of trick machinery when the team
haulers unload their goods at the se-
ries opener on January 3. And you can
also expect to see new faces with new
teams since during the off-season sev-
eral top riders switched employers for
the new season.
Perhaps the most notable change is
Ken Roczen leaving Roger DeCoster's
Red Bull KTM Factory Team for Ricky
Carmichael's RCH/Soaring Eagle Su-
zuki. And while the RCH team is not
a factory team in the strictest sense,
Roczen will have the best equipment
the Suzuki factory has to offer.

Suzuki Team, is one of the championship favorites.
(Below) Davi Millsaps heads into Anaheim I following his big
win at the Monster Energy Cup in October. He's taking over
at Monster Energy Kawasaki for the departing Ryan Villopoto,
who is heading to the GPs in 2015.
