Noyes exclaimed. "You guys are
here, there's also the hardcore
dirt track guys, Flat Track Live,
Sideburn Magazine. They're doing
a job that was never done when I
was racing dirt track. I used to go
out racing and it'd be two out-of-
focus photos and your name in the
paper. Now they've got HD, slow-
motion, and that really helps get
guys excited about it."
Chris Carr agreed.
"It was an impressive event,"
he said. "All week leading up to
it, I believe the global media at-
tention surpassed any Indy Mile.
In reality, for dirt track as a sport,
its best opportunity for growth as
a whole is globally—outside our
borders. There's so much infight-
ing within our own circle of spon-
sors and companies. Flat track
has never been a high priority.
Tonight was a show that was also
a great race, and the more you
have that, the better it's going to
become."
There were credible rumors of
the Superprestigio growing to be-
come a series of races, though
the organizers were being tight-
lipped. Troy Bayliss was open to
adding the race he organizes in
January, the Troy Bayliss Classic,
to such a series.
"Some of the guys are talking
about it," Bayliss said. "Here's
one leg, my race is one, we only
need one in the US, and Daytona
would be the perfect spot."
Chris Carr was optimistic.
"I would think that's a good
idea because it's a natural pro-
gression," said Carr. "You can't
build it globally just on one event.
I don't see any reason why some-
thing like that couldn't work, it's
just a matter of making it happen.
And maybe somebody will."
AMA flagman Kevin Clark
summed the feeling up perfectly:
"Like I always say, share the love,
man. If it's two wheels, it's cool."

Briefly...
Down to how to flush a toilet over
here is different!"
That was what surprised both Jared
Mees and Shayna Texter. "It was
different, for sure! I guess the big-
gest thing was just hard to compre-
hend what everybody was saying,"
Mees said. "I don't speak any Span-
ish. It was good, I had a great time,
I love this country a lot. Everybody's
in a rush here!" For Texter, the big-
gest challenge was a combination of
sleep and food. "This was a last min-
ute thing for me," Texter said. "I got
invited on Friday, got my passport on
Monday, and left Tuesday.
I'm really struggling with the sleeping
schedule, I haven't slept more than a
couple of hours since I got here, so
I'm really tired. And I've been strug-
gling with food, but it's been getting
better as more days pass. When I
first got here at the press confer-
ence, they served us goat's cheese,
and duck! But I like Barcelona Italian,
pasta and chicken is really good."
